SIGHTSEEING
ENISEY RIVER AND "350-YEAR ANNIVERSARY" SQUARE

If you arrived to Krasnoyarsk for a few hours only and don't feel like seeing the city center, you can
walk from the railway station along Enisey river and to the 350-year Anniversary
square (located opposite of Krasnoyarsk
Hotel). This square is a popular entertainment spot along local people and there are many open cafes during
summer. Also, near this square there's Regional Studies Museum and it's easy to
take a taxi to Stolby national park.
The walk along Enisey is quite nice, especially that it is calm and picturesque (the way it can be picturesque in a city).
For those who relish a quiet walk, the pathway along the Enisey river
presents an exquisite escape, seamlessly blending the vibrancy of Krasnoyarsk
with the serene beauty of its natural surroundings. As you stroll, you may find
the gentle lapping of the river against its banks a soothing accompaniment to
your thoughts. Here, the city unveils its less hurried side—where locals meander
at a leisurely pace, often pausing to enjoy the view or to catch up with
friends. Viewing the cityscape from this riverside offers a unique perspective,
highlighting the harmonious coexistence of nature and urban life.
Arriving at the 350-year Anniversary Square, you are greeted by an air of
festivity and community spirit. The square, alive with the chatter of locals and
visitors alike, offers a taste of Krasnoyarsk’s social scene. Street performers
may capture your interest with impromptu performances, adding to the vibrant
atmosphere. During the warmer months, the open cafes beckon with the aroma of
freshly brewed coffee and regional delicacies. Here, you can sit back and soak
in the local life, witnessing the flow of daily activities in this lively hub.
The Regional Studies Museum, located nearby, provides a deeper understanding
of the area's rich history and cultural heritage. It's an excellent spot for
those keen on delving into the stories that shaped Krasnoyarsk and the wider
Siberian region. Exhibits range from ancient artifacts to contemporary art,
offering something for every curiosity. After a leisurely exploration, should
you decide to venture further, a taxi ride can swiftly transport you to the
famous Stolby National Park, a haven for nature enthusiasts who wish to immerse
themselves in the grandeur of Siberian wilderness.
