Fedor Shalyapin museum

F.I. Shalyapin's House Museum welcomes the Muscovites and the capital's guests.
In the museum you can acquaint yourself with memorial rooms of the first floor of Shalyapin's mansion, where his family lived till 1922, feel the atmosphere of the great singer's home, get to know its traditions.
In the second floor's halls the visitors will be introduced to Shalyapin's creative work, his marvelous performances on the opera stage.
Here one can see Shalyapin's theater suites, draft stage sets for the performances the great singer took part in on the world's best scenes, rare photographs of the early 20th century, Shalyapin's private belongings.
The drawings by the singer himself and by his friends - distinguished Russian painters - V. Serov, K. Korovin, V. Polenov, V. and A. Vasnetsovs, M. Vrubel - will introduce you to various facets of Shalyapin's talent, faces of his creative work. The memorial White Hall, where there is Shalyapin's grand piano, is a seat for creative gatherings arranged by the outstanding musicians from this country and abroad, master classes of the well-known vocal teachers, concerts by the young performers - prize-winners of the all-Russia and international competitions, scientific conferences.
