SINYATCHIKHA - THE TOWN OF ALAPAYEVSK
This excursion offers you the possibility to learn the history of the Urals
colonization. You will see typical Russian villages where houses are decorated
with woodcuts, settlements and towns situated along the Great Routes as Regevsky
and Alapaevsky Routes, workers' and peasants' style of life.
In Alapayevsk town you will visit the Tchaykovsky Museum
- the house where the famous Russian composer was born and where he had spent
his childhood. You'll also see nice collections of museums of Musical
Instruments, of Painting and Woodwork. You'll make acquaintance with Spaso-Preobrazhensky
cathedral dated of 18th century, 17-19 centuries' merchant residences,
wonderful chapels where water-colours and folk art expositions are exhibited,
the watch-tower and the gaol tower.
On the way back you will visit the place of murder of
members of the Romanovs family near Alapaevsk, doleful and solemn.
The excursion lasts 9 hours.
