ULAANBAATAR NAADAM FESTIVAL
The summer of 2008 was a time full of life and vivid impressions for
Ulaanbaatar. The central point of these unforgettable days was the Naadam
festival, which opened for the first time at the central stadium of the city.
Under the bright rays of the sun, shimmering on colorful dresses, the city was
immersed in an atmosphere of festive jubilation and reverence for ancient
traditions. The noise of the crowd above the arena was filled with expectation:
people from all over the world gathered to witness the unique combination of
sports, history and cultural heritage of Mongolia.
The Naadam Festival at the central stadium was not just a bright event, but a
real symbol of friendship and unity. Colorful parades, exciting horse races, the
skill of archers and the strength of wrestlers created an amazing spectacle that
proved the inextricable link between Mongolia's past and its present. It was an
incredible adventure for me, capturing every moment in my memory — from the
first sounds of throat singing to the final ceremony with fireworks brightening
the night sky over Ulaanbaatar. Each picture in this photo album is not only a
frame from the life of the capital, but also a piece of the great holiday, with
which the city at the foot of the sacred Bogdo—Ula mountain is associated for
me.
