TSENKHER HOT SPRINGS
There are in Arkhangai many old volcanos, which explains the presence of this hot water source that flows all year long at 1860 metres (1,16 mile)
above the sea level in the sum of Tsenkher.
Tsenher hot spring is around 30 km to the south of Tsetserleg town, in Arkhangai province. After Shargaljuut Hot spring, Tsenkher Hot Spring is the
second hottest spring in Mongolia.
Because it contains hydrogen sulfide and silicon compounds, it can be used in small doses to fatigue, chronic skin diseases, open wounds, and diabetes and
effective to treat inflammation of the skin, nerves, muscles, joints, soft tissue injuries, anemia, post-treatment health.
The hot water is pumped into pools at the Ger camps that settled around the spring. There are many tourist camps and guest houses for you to relax and
engage with a beautiful views of wild nature.
The water is at 85,5°C (185,9°F). In a pleasant verdant wooded area, some yurts camps with equipment and baths with a less hot temperature have been
set up for the travellers, but also for the nomads and the inhabitants of Ulan Bator who are very keen on these baths. Tsenkher hot springs have healing
properties notably on articular diseases and nervous system’s diseases. Composition: sodium carbonate, hydrocarbonate, sulfate, fluorite, hydrogen sulfide.
